Dr. Anthony J. Collins’ father, Dr. John M. Collins, started the practice in 1966. He graduated from Loyola Dental School in 1963 after putting himself through Fenwick High School and Loyola undergraduate School. He has 6 children and 19 grandchildren and has been happily married to his wife, Bruni, since 1962. He is now retired and spends half the year in Florida. He is an avid golfer and fisherman.
Dr. Thomas W. Pogue graduated with Dr. John M. Collins from Loyola in 1963. He has also been happily married to Dian since 1962 and has 8 children and 20 grandchildren. Dr. Pogue is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Illinois State Dental Society. Dr. Pogue has been on staff of Condell Medical Center for 28 yrs.
Dr. Robert J. Noetzel has been practicing orthodontics in Chicago Heights for over 40 yrs and joined the practice more than 30 yrs ago to provide our patients with orthodontic services. He specializes in children and adult orthodontics. He received his degree from Loyola in 1964 and received his specialization in orthodontics two years later. He has been happily married to his wife, Margaret, since 1964 and has 5 sons and 6 grandchildren.
Dr. Anthony J. Collins graduated from University of Illinois-Chicago Dental School in 1995. He is a member in good standing of the American Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the Illinois State Dental Society. Coming from a dental family his sister, Rose, preceded him in the practice. She moved in 1996 to Arizona due to her husband’s employment and she now lives in London, England with her five children and husband. All of Dr. Anthony Collins’ siblings worked in the dental office at one time or another. His father’s brother and his son are oral surgeons in Missouri.
Dr. Anthony J. Collins has been married to his wife, Andrea, since 1994 and they have three children: Shea, Chase, and Brendan and also the family pet, a pug named Leo. He has been a resident of Mundelein all his life and a graduate of Carmel High School. He is a children’s liturgy leader at St. Mary of the annunciation and volunteers monthly at Health Reach Clinic for the underprivileged.
In January 2009 doctor traveled to rural Nigeria with his 11year old daughter, Shea, to participate in a medical mission with Hands and Hearts International. The team provided free medical and dental care for two weeks to one of the poorest areas in Nigeria. Doctor plans on returning in 2011 with his sister, Rose. He feels that he received more from the experience then he was able to give in spite of the long hot days, so many people and knowing he would not be able to help all of them.
Both Dr. Anthony J. Collins and his wife have participated in Ragbrai, a ride across the state of Iowa, sharing a tandem bike for the last several years. They are also both avid triathletes. He completed the Chicago Marathon in 2008 and plans to compete in the Wisconsin Ironman in September 2009. He also enjoyed building his 1965 Cobra from a kit, which he drives to the office only when the sun is shining. He is also a member of the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary.
Our Hygienists, Nancy has been on staff since 1972 and Rosann since 1981, provide our patients with caring dental care and education so to obtain quality oral health, which is linked to our general health.
“Dr. Anthony” is how his friendly staff refers to Dr. Collins. His front desk staff and assistants are very professional and courteous; they work hard to make sure everyone leaves the office smiling.
